About the Adapter
The inRiver Adapter for Salesforce B2C Commerce provides an easy-to-deploy and easy-to-manage solution for getting enriched and perfected marketing information from inRiver PIM deployed into your Salesforce Commerce Cloud environment.
With the Salesforce adapter, you take full advantage of the flexibility provided by inRiver PIM when customizing and optimizing your product offering, while seamlessly deploying it to your Salesforce Commerce Cloud solution - creating the best possible combination for a dynamic product offering and a flexible eCommerce that really works and boosts your business.
The integration between inRiver and Salesforce is built up using two major components, the Salesforce Adapter running in inRiver and the Cartridge executing inside the Salesforce environment.
The integration is built around the standard catalog import function that exists in Salesforce, which imports an XML file containing product data, and/or category assignments.
