This article provides an overview of the inRiver Import Adapter.
About the Import Adapter
The Import Adapter can be used to import data from an external data source into inRiver. In its standard setup, the adapter takes a delimited file such as a CSV or Excel file from an Azure file share or SFTP drive and processes the content into inRiver.
By mapping fields from your incoming files to fields and entities in inRiver you can, for example, create items and products as well as links between items and products or between other entities.
It can also be set up to handle bulk importing of media files.
The Import Adapter is a standard scheduled extension which by default processes data from an external storage location of your choice.
